About Us

RASA Merseyside is a specialist service supporting individuals affected by sexual violence and abuse. We are committed to providing high-quality, trauma-informed services in a safe, compassionate, and empowering environment.

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Sexual Violence Support Worker / Advocate to join our specialist team.

This exciting new role will provide emotional and practical support to adults affected by rape, sexual abuse and sexual violence who may not be ready for counselling, are not currently suitable for counselling, or require additional support alongside other services.

Working in a flexible and survivor-led way, you will provide support face-to-face, by telephone, Zoom, text message and email, tailoring your approach to the needs and wishes of each individual.

You will help survivors navigate services, access support, overcome barriers and regain control of their lives through trauma-informed advocacy and emotional support.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is passionate about supporting survivors.
  • Has excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Can build trusting relationships.
  • Is compassionate, non-judgemental and resilient.
  • Understands the importance of empowerment and survivor choice.
  • Can manage a varied caseload and work independently.

Previous experience within sexual violence services is welcomed but not essential. We are committed to recruiting individuals with the right values, skills and motivation, and full training will be provided.
