Qualified Counsellors

RASA provide counselling to people who have been subjected to rape and sexual abuse. We are currently looking for volunteer counsellors to join our counselling team.

We have opportunities for working with both adults and children working face to face and online.   All volunteers must be a member of the BACP and be fully qualified to level 4.  Ideally you would have a good understanding of the impacts of sexual abuse and understand the issues that those subjected to sexual abuse may face.  Good communication skills and understanding of safeguarding adults and children is essential for this role.

In return for commitment of 3 clients per week RASA offer formal training including level 5 trauma course, as well as access to on-going training opportunities. You will receive monthly line management and clinical supervision.

The next volunteer intake will take place in Sept/ Oct 21 – Interviews will take place week commencing 20th Sept and volunteer training dates will be 9th 10th 16th and 17th of Oct. Please do not apply if you cannot attend all these training dates.
